| Description: | PATCA member needs expert for brainstorming possible applications of ultrasound to a measurement problem. This is a non-imaging application where a string of piezo transducer elements would be spaced along the inside a catheter used in the body. We need someone who understands what is practical and feasible when trying to incorporate piezo transducers inside a catheter, understands issues surrounding coupling acoustic energy into tissue, understands issues of propagation through various human anatomy, and can provide a rough idea of the complexity required in the supporting instrumentation. This is not an imaging application. | |
