Description:     This project is focussed on implementing product feature and compliance upgrades to our best selling Hemodialysis machine. The project scope will include software/ electronics changes and demonstration of compliance to the latest medical safety standards. The primary tasks revolve around:
- electronics development,documentation and integration of processor based circuit boards
- requirements engineering, including gathering and understanding historical design documentation and developing Design Input documentation
- risk management tasks including board/module level Design FMEA development
- review of safety/EMC standards and developing test plans, protocols and reports
- conducting technical and design reviews with main stake holders
 
Other Info:     Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 8-12 years of related experience
Mastery of principles, theories and concepts in the electrical engineering field, preferably in the medical device area.
Proven ability to develop complete and complex technical solutions to a wide range of difficult electrical engineering problems.
Mastery in every aspect of hardware development, from design concept, through schematic design entry, circuit simulation, PCB layout, board bring-up, troubleshooting and release to manufacturing.
Extensive experience or mastery with digital and/or analog (sensors, data acquisition, power systems) design.
Extensive experience or mastery with schematic and PCB design tools.
Extensive experience or mastery with microprocessor/microcontroller and/or FPGA based digital design.
FPGA design using Verilog or VHDL development languages and associated design software and simulation tools preferred.
Experience with SPICE analog simulation preferred.
Extensive experience in high speed digital design/ impedance control applied to printed circuit board and cabling technology.
Extensive experience with the printed circuit board manufacturing process in effectively leading DFM and DFT strategies.
Extensive experience in use of tools to test and troubleshoot electronic systems and electrical circuit boards such as oscilloscope, logic analyzer and chipscopes.
Provide strong technical leadership to a hardware team with lesser experienced engineers via mentoring.
Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
Highly motivated and energetic. Passion for creating high quality medical device hardware.
Excellent organizational, oral and written communication skills and a proven track record managing significant portions of projects independently.
Experience in investigational analysis methods such as DFMEA, Design of Experiments a plus.
Experience in applying statistical methods in evaluating and determining design parameters/limits.
Familiarity with IPC standards and the IEC 60601 family of safety standards preferred.
