Description:     Low Voltage Infrastructure CAD Designer

Leading Bay Area Low Voltage Design and Engineering Firm has immediate openings for qualified AutoCAD Designers in this very fast paced and ever changing industry. Experience in IT, Audio Visual and Security Physical Infrastructure is a MUST. AutoCAD 2012 or later, 2D and 3D modeling is required. Revitt and BIM are a benefit and will be considered.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Learn and adhere to Company Detailing Standards, with flexibility to work within client Standards
• Produce construction-drawing packages in accordance with Standards
• Produce Schematic, Design Development, Construction and As-Built packages in accordance with standards
• Execute drawing schedules laid out by the Senior Project Managers
• Be willing to work over-time if and when required
• Generate accurate 2D & 3D electronic files for coordination purposes
• Learn new technologies and systems as required
• Keep Project Managers informed of any potential obstacles that may adversely affect design and/or schedules
• Update the departmental job log to describe progress of current projects

Required Skills and Experiences:
• Demonstrate fluency and proficiency with AutoCAD 2012 or later
• Ability to organize all facets of detailing
• Produce accurate, well laid out drawings
• Maintain electronic files and demonstrate knowledge of file management systems
• Ability to interface with design and production staff in a professional manner
• Degree from accredited Technical School in CAD Design.
• Three (3) years previous experience of detailing with AutoCAD
• Electrical Design a plus
