Job Summary: • Provide infrastructure leadership to influence strategic technology planning and improve processes by: o Analyzing operational incidents to drive improvements o Identifying opportunities to revamp processes, services and technologies o Ensuring documentation is complete and accurate for use in design, implementation and operations o Providing strategic thought leadership for planning future direction • Using JD Edwards and other tools/reports to facilitate problem management activities o To improve infrastructure and solution performance o To help troubleshoot day to day problems o To develop new protocols to improve productivity and efficiency • Stay abreast of advances in technology, developing a strategic computing plan and information technology procedures • Design and implement enhancements to increase corporate infrastructure performance • Manage software, hardware, network, server installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs • Upgrade services to optimize data and information handling throughout the company • Manage and implement IT security plan improvements and administration Qualifications: • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant experience in Information Technology field • Minimum of 10 years of experience • Experience with JD Edwards and Gentran • Knowledge on various operating systems (i.e. Windows OS) including servers and desktop computers • Experience as hands-on Senior IT manager or mid-level IT analyst • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, HR modeling, leadership techniques, production methods and coordination of people and resources • Knowledge of network architecture, configuration, protocols, and interconnectivity requirements for internal/external information transmission • Knowledge of network traffic and performance parameters to interpret variances and service impacts • Understanding of SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS options and when and how to implement them • Ability to integrate multiple applications and/or systems • Ability to analyze data requirements and research data availability and access methods • Knowledge of data administration principles and techniques and network administration • Knowledge of system utilities, features, installation and maintenance procedures and general operation • Knowledge of local area network system configuration and interface malfunctions • Interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to apply consultative skills to assess user needs and provide appropriate support and solutions • Excellent organizational, planning, problem solving and project management skills • Ability to analyze and troubleshoot system connection and interface malfunctions • Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology • Knowledge of tape and virtual data backup systems and data restoration | |
